Больные должны избегать и видоизменять движения и действия, которые могут вызвать появление миофасциальных триггерных точек в передней зубчатой мышце или реактивировать их, особенно мышечных стрессов, активирующих первичные миофасциальные триггерные точки. Пациентов следует обучать тщательно прочищать носоглотку, не дожидаясь приступов кашля, ровно дышать (парадоксальное дыхание нежелательно, см. гл. 20, разд. 14). Они не должны подбрасывать и поднимать значительные грузы над головой, выполнять упражнения на турнике с подтягиванием на руках.

Больные с раздраженными миофасциальными триггерными точками в передней зубчатой мышце часто не могут заснуть на больном боку из-за надавливания на миофасциальные триггерные точки, не могут они спать и на здоровом боку, если верхняя конечность пораженной стороны свешивается вперед и передняя зубчатая мышца, находящаяся в укороченном положении, оказывается в состоянии судорожного сокращения. Чтобы избежать этого, во время сна под руку необходимо подкладывать подушку, удерживающую лопатку от заваливания кпереди, как показано на рис. 22.6.

Сидя больной может выполнять специальные физические упражнения для растягивания передней зубчатой мышцы (см. рис. 46.6). Эффективны также упражнения в дверном проеме с низким и среднем положением кистей (см. рис. 42.9).

Лечение больного с миофасциальными триггерными точками, расположенными в передней зубчатой мышце, включало обкалывание новокаином, которое проводила д-р Travell.
