2. В разделе, посвященном нейтрализации в фонологии (§ 3.3.5), следовало бы указать, что возможен и третий путь описания «фактов». Если мы откажемся от требования обоюдной уникальности (то есть того требования, чтобы один и тот же звук речи всегда ассоциировался с одной и той же фонемой), то мы сможем говорить, что в позиции конца слова /d/ реализуется как [t], а в остальных случаях — как [d], и что /t/ всегда реализуется как [t]. 3. Между «рангами» Холлидея и «слоями» Лэмба существует гораздо более еначительное различие, чем я указал в § 5.5.1. Возможно, они сравнимы, строго говоря, лишь по отношению к разграничению морфологии и синтаксиса.
