[31], в 1983 г. [19], 1984 г. [2] и в 1986 г. [38]. В 1902 г. Hough еще не определял различия между концентрическим (укорачивающее) и эксцентрическим (удлиняющее) сокращениями скелетных мышц. По многим параметрам мышечная болезненность после физической нагрузки сходна с миофасциальным болевым синдромом, хотя это два разных состояния. Поскольку мышечная болезненность, возникающая после физических нагрузок, довольно тщательно изучена, то, понимая сходства и различия между этими состояниями, мы сможем лучше изучить происхождение миофасциальных триггерных точек. Основные черты болезненности мышц после физических нагрузок с отсроченным началом будут рассмотрены ниже, будут обсуждены также сходства и различия между двумя этими состояниями.
