By dawn the outlaws and their allies had all gathered back at the old oak tree. There they had slept, drunk wine and told each other stories from the battle. The money, armour and other treasures which they had taken from Front-de-Boeuf's castle had been thrown into a great pile under the tree.

"Let us not stay here long (давайте не будем оставаться здесь надолго; to stay — останавливаться, делать паузу; оставаться, задержаться где-либо)," said Locksley. "When the news of the battle reaches the allies of Front-de-Boeuf (когда новость о битве достигнет союзников Фрон-де-Бёфа), we will need to find a safer place (нам понадобиться найти более безопасное место). They were interrupted by the sound of horses (они были прерваны звуками = топотом лошадей), and the Lady Rowena appeared (и появилась леди Ровена), surrounded by some of Cedric's men (окруженная несколькими слугами Седрика).
