Елизавета II воспользовалась ею всего три раза — на коронации и во время серебряной (25 лет) и золотой (50 лет) годовщин своего восхождения на престол. Всё остальное время карета стоит, как и остальные экипажи, в королевских конюшнях Букингемского дворца. Главный кучер однажды сказал в интервью: «Карету поддерживают кожаные ремни, и она качается не только вперёд-назад, но и из стороны в сторону, так что я не думаю, что ехать в ней удобно или приятно». Что ж, это не просто экипаж, это символ.
