Objects do not emit their own light, but absorb electromagnetic waves of certain length from the range of visible light, reflecting the rest. Color is not a property of light, but merely an impression produced in the brain by an electromagnetic wave of a certain length. The sun, which gives us both light and heat, and through it, life, makes up 99.86% of the total mass of the solar system.
