"It is with joy that you're here," I replied. Hence, my eyes, too, were sparkling with joy.

Справившись с нашими эмоциями, мы пошли в мини-кухню поздороваться со всеми и определиться с делами на сегодня. На мое красное платье обратили внимание все. Я, думаю, все еще заметили блеск в наших глазах. Невольно мы стали центром внимания.

Coping with our emotions, we went to the mini kitchen to say Hello to everybody and to determine the work plan today. All drew attention to my red dress. I think else everyone noticed the sparkle in our eyes. We have become the center of attention involuntarily.

– Сашенька, Вы неотразимы, – сделал мне комплимент Армен Георгиевич.

"Sasha, you are irresistible," Armen Georgievich gave me a compliment.

– Вы такая красивая пара. – сказали другие сотрудники.

"You are such a beautiful couple," other staff said.

Максим закашлял, возвращая всех к рабочим вопросам, но сам при этом тоже посмотрел на нас с интересом. В офис уже вернулись Василий с Егором – как выяснилось, ненадолго, потому что менеджеры по продажам сообщили о новых клиентах. Армен Георгиевич доложил о ситуации с поставками на текущие заказы. Бухгалтер Галина Семеновна рассказала о «произведенных выплатах и поступивших деньгах». Максим очертил сроки, в которые надо будет уложиться по некоторым заказам. Сегодня Василий, Максим и Артур должны были подъехать на объект за городом сдать выполненную работу представителю заказчика и подписать акт выполненных работ, поскольку все оборудование охранной системы было уже установлено и подключено. О моей работе в это утро       Максим не спросил, и я просто слушала других сотрудников. Совещание закончилось, все разошлись по своим местам.

Maxim coughed, returning attention to the work issues, but he also looked at us with interest. Vasily and Yegor already went back in the office – as it turned out, not for long because sales managers reported about new clients. Armen Georgievich reported on the situation with supply on current orders. Accountant Galina Semyonovna told about the payments, which she did and about received money. Maxim said about set deadlines to have time to fulfill some orders. Today Vasily, Maxim, and Arthur had to drive up to the facility to donate performed work to the customer representative and sign the act of executed works because all equipment of the security system already was installed and connected. Maxim didn't ask me about my job this morning, and I just listened to the other employees. The meeting was over; all dispersed to their jobs.

– Артур, Василий, выезжаем сейчас. – сказал Максим.

"Arthur, Vasily, let's go now," said Maxim.

Они уехали на объект, я пошла в кабинет Артура, достала рисунки из папки, просмотрела их. Взяв чистые листы и карандаш, я взялась за логотип. Первым делом я написала цепочку из слов, не понимая, откуда она появилась в моей голове: «охранные системы, защита, контроль, нити, человек, Абсолют».

They left on the object; I went to the office of Arthur, took the pictures from the folder, looked through them. Taking the blank sheets and a pencil, I began to develop a logo. First, I wrote a chain of words, not knowing where it came from in my head: "security system, protection, control, thread, person, Absolute."

Я нарисовала человека, сидящего за столом – руки перед собой, а вместо ног слова «контроль» и «защита». Написав «Абсолют» справа по вертикали, я провела карандашом «линии-нити» между каждой буквой «контроль» и его правой рукой, каждой буквой «защита» и его левой рукой. Что-то было не так. А что, если я напишу «контроль» и «защита» вертикально по бокам и также протяну «линии-нити» между ними и руками человека, а «Абсолют» будет внизу? Я нарисовала – получилось даже хуже, чем в предыдущем варианте. Я решила заменить «нити» прямоугольными кнопками с надписями «контроль» и «защита», и указательные пальцы правой и левой рук стали «нажимать» на кнопки.

I drew a man sitting at a desk – hands in front of him, and instead of legs words "control" and "protection." Writing "Absolute" right vertically, I held a pencil "line-threads" between each letter "control" and his right hand, each letter "protection" and his left hand. Something wasn't right. What if I write "control" and "protection" vertically on the sides, also drawing a "line- threads" between them and hands of the man, and "Absolute" will be at the bottom? I drew – this was even worse than the previous version. I decided to replace threads on rectangular buttons with labels "control" and "protection," and index fingers of the right and the left hands began to "press" buttons.

Потом я убрала и кнопки с надписями. Прорисовывая варианты один за другим, я каждый раз убирала что-то лишнее и в результате осталась одна правая кисть руки, указывающая на прямоугольник над ней. В прямоугольнике было написано «охранные системы», а ниже, под кистью большими буквами я вывела «Абсолют». Я вышла из кабинета передохнуть. Часы на стене над стойкой Ирины показывали начало третьего, обед уже прошел. Ирина беседовала с каким-то мужчиной. Я прошла дальше в туалет, а на обратном пути спросила у нее, кто это был.

After that, I also "removed" rectangular buttons with labels. Drawing one after the other options, every time, I removed something extra and, as a result, I left one right hand; her index finger pointed to the rectangle above it. I wrote "security system" in the rectangle, and in large letters "Absolute" below under the hand. I left the office to rest. The clock on the wall above the reception desk of Irina showed the beginning of the third; the lunch had already passed. Irina was talking with some guy. I walked past to the toilet and on the way back, asked her who it was.

– Это сотрудник фирмы, у которой мы ставим офис под охрану.

"He is an employee of the company that provides services security in our office."

– Ставим под охрану? – мне показалось странным, что мы пользуемся услугами другой фирмы для защиты своего офиса.

"Services security?" I found it strange that we use the services of another company to protect its office.

– Да, все в бизнес-центре заключили с ними договора на охрану офисов в нерабочее время. Этот парень проверил сигнализацию – плановая проверка.

"Yes, everyone located in the business center signed contracts with them for office security outside of business hours. This guy checked the alarm system – a routine check."

– И часто такие проверки бывают?

"How often such inspections occur?"

– Это первая проверка за год, что мы здесь.

"It’s the first checks for the year that we are here."

Я вернулась в кабинет Артура, посмотрела свои варианты, попробовала в последнем варианте заменить прямоугольник схематичным изображением дома, получилось хуже. Тогда я взяла чистый лист бумаги и еще раз прорисовала прямоугольник и под ним кисть правой руки так, словно она указывает на этот прямоугольник. В прямоугольнике крупным шрифтом я написала «Абсолют» и внизу под кистью руки добавила «охранные системы» в две строки шрифтом поменьше.

I went back to the office Arthur, looked at my sketches for the logo, tried to replace the rectangle on a schematic image of the house in the last version – it looked worse than it was. Then I took a blank sheet of paper and again drew a rectangle and under it the right hand of the man as if it points to this rectangle. I wrote in large print "Absolute" in the rectangle and added in two lines a smaller font "security system" under the hand.
