Turning her back to the crowd, they count; one, two, three, before the small bunch of flowers she’s been carrying around all day goes arching through the air. There’s some squabbling in the crowd, and I grin at the sight of my athlete brother, Az throwing himself into the mix, elbowing people out of the way for a chance to be the lucky winner.
Instead, it’s one strong, raised hand that catches the bouquet cleanly and fairly. When the crowd parts, my brows raise at seeing who it is.
Zann grins at everyone as people clap and some of the losers grumble. He is the last person I would have thought would entertain even a modicum of an idea of bonding with one female for life.
“It’s quite fitting, really,” Zann calls out over the hubbub. The guests around him go quiet. “I think now, at my dear brother’s strange Earth-bonding-ceremony-thing, it might be a good time for us to announce that the lovely human, Jaya and I-” he pauses momentarily, ushering for Jaya to come to his side. I freeze as I watch Zann sling his arm around her shoulders. “-have entered into a new breeding contract together!”
Some of the guests don’t know how to react, others cheer and clap. My geliklik of a brother just raises that fucking bouquet in the air like it’s a fucking drak-ball season trophy.
Niska hurries to my side as she eyes our guests crowding my brother and her friend Jaya. “He wouldn’t force her to do anything, right?” she whispers.
I can feel my jaw tick. “No, he wouldn’t do that,” I admit, glaring at Zann. “He’s likely struck a deal with her.” I fold my arms as I continue to glare. “I’m sure he thinks being in a breeding contract would make him exempt from the temporary exile my father plans on sending him on.”
My bride folds her arms too, mirroring my stance which is… insanely adorable. “Will it?”
I sigh, not knowing the answer to that. My brother catches my eye with a twinkle of amusement in his own. That idiot has the fucking gall to wink at me between talking to well-wishers. I grind my teeth before leaning down to murmur to Niska, “is it traditionally considered bad luck for the groom to kill his brother on his human wedding day?”
My bride rolls her eyes but her expression is soft when she unfolds her arms and wraps them around me instead. “I’ll make you a deal,” she offers as we sway a little together, her hand coming around to draw idle patterns on my chest. “If you can promise me zero murders on my wedding day, then I might just let you bite me again tonight.”
Leaning down, I brush my lips against her smiling ones. “You drive a hard bargain, little human,” I rumble into a soft kiss, completely ignoring all the chatter of the scene around us. “But you already know I’ll give you anything you want.”

Melissa Emerald loves to write about big, powerful MMCs who would do anything to make their woman happy. The Fated Mates of the Winged Barbarians is her debut series and follows a group of human women who find themselves on planet where the native species of Trixikka are in all-male tribes who have NEVER SEEN WOMEN BEFORE…
Alien Protector’s Mate

No Trixikka has ever laid eyes on a female before. The first one I stumble across? She’s mine.
RYNN
The Goddesses blessed me with a gift when I find a strange, wingless, tailless creature in the depths of the jungle. A female.
My female is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever laid eyes on. Her body is so different from mine, but this only excites me. She is my mate, and we have all the time beneath the skies for her to teach me of those differences.
SERENA
I don’t believe in love. But then again, up until a week or so ago, I didn’t believe in aliens either. And yet here I am having been abducted, stranded on a jungle planet, and now surrounded by a tribe of huge, protective aliens with wings and tails. At least these are the good guys.
Their leader, Rynn, is convinced I’m the reason the skin on his chest is lit up like a Christmas tree, particularly the area directly above his heart. But that’s just some weird alien biochemical reaction. Just like all supposed ‘love’, right?
Alien Protector’s Mate is the first in the Fated Mates of the Winged Barbarians Series and features a huge, winged, apex-predator hero, who is a virgin with a capital ‘V’ but is very eager to learn - and his little human mate who turns out to be equally eager to teach him.
Alien Protector’s Stars

What’s worse than being abducted by aliens and then abandoned on a primitive jungle planet? Finding out you’re pregnant - that’s what.
It’s all going to be ok, though. I’m a strong woman. I can cope with leaving my cheating ex behind on earth, and I can cope with doing this alone.
What I can’t cope with is the 7ft winged warrior-alien who has decided that I’m his. Me and Second Spear Mavyx don’t get along. We should stay far away from each other.
So why am I asking him to help me out when my hormones have me acting like a cat in heat?
Alien Protector’s Stars is a full length Sci-fi Alien Romance featuring a reluctant bickering couple who were meant for each other. Can the big virgin male help scratch a particular itch for pregnant Alana without complicating things with ‘feelings’?
Alien Protector’s Stars is book 2 in the Fated Mates of the Winged Barbarians Series. It is advised that book 1, Alien Protector’s Mate is read first to be able to understand the world our heroines find themselves in.
Alien Protector’s Shadows

I’m lost in an alien jungle… and the handsome, 7ft, winged predator stalking me from the shadows has never seen a woman before…
