В этой главе поговорим про глагольные конструкции группы Continuous, которую еще называют Progressive – суть та же, просто название другое.
Present Continuous, или конструкции группы Continuous в настоящем времени
В настоящем времени используется для обозначения действия, которое происходит в момент разговора, т.е. незавершенное на момент речи, а также для обозначения временных, непостоянных, нехарактерных действий.
В качестве подсказки для употребления Present Continuous в контексте могут послужить следующие наречия времени:
– now – сейчас
– at the moment – в данный момент
– today – сегодня
– this morning (afternoon, evening, week, etc) – этим утром (днем, вечером, на этой неделе и т.д.)
– tonight – сегодня вечером
– these days – в настоящее время
– still – все еще
Образуется Present Continuous с помощью одной из форм глагола to be в настоящем времени (am, is, are) и глагола в 1ой форме, к которому добавляется окончание -ing.
Например, He is working at the moment, so he can’t answer the phone (Он работает в данный момент, поэтому не может ответить на звонок); Jane is studying Spanish these days (В настоящее время Джейн изучает испанский язык); She is still talking to her boyfriend on the phone (Она все еще разговаривает по телефону со своим приятелем).
