E.V. Lucas was a prolific essayist, journalist, and editor who gained most of his education from working at a bookshop in Brighton. He frequently wrote for Punch the weekly humour magazine and produced the standard editions of Charles Lamb's essays and letters. Fireside and Sunshine is a collection of nineteen of Lucas's essays. This title was originally published in 1907, here we are republished with an introductory biography of the author.
