We had decided to spend about ten days there. The year was 1990. One Sunday morning, at 5:00 am, we took a flight to Bangkok from New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. It was a journey of about five hours. During most of the time we were asleep. Having reached Bangkok, we checked in Ambassador Hotel. We were not tired so we decided to go out.
