"You CAN Go Home Again" is a collection of vignettes celebrating diversity of heritage. It is divided into three sections "Home to the Caribbean," "Home to South Africa" and Home to Your Childhood. Rather than being autobiographical, the book presents the author's reflections of being a woman of color in White America, with a multicultural genealogy: Caribbean, Native American, European and African. The author's intention is the celebration of pride in heritage, diversity and the unity of all God's children: "the multi-hued face of God, created in the image of God." It is hoped that the readers will be inspired to investigate the richness of their own heritage.
