Firstly, I want to thank my husband, Ed Napoleao, for spending hours and hours… and hours researching past empires, historical events, and genetic engineering, to help create this dystopian world with me.
And for offering his own personal experiences…
My husband is the first generation born from refugees escaping a war with decades of genocide and guerilla warfare that went nearly undocumented.
They are still picking up the pieces.
You have probably never even heard of his country.
This happened in our life time.
His perspective on creating and building The Cradle is invaluable.
And we have so much more to unravel the further we enter The Cradle with each book.
It is rooted in science, and explores technologies, most of which exists today in rudimentary forms, but are not legal.
It also plays with mythology. The Cradle holds on to real world physics—mostly—and delves into our need as a species for a spiritual connection.
