Такого уровня не достигает даже большинство геномов с высоким покрытием, составленных для наших современников. Например, геном Крейга Вентера, руководителя одной из двух групп, соревновавшихся за первенство в деле секвенирования человеческого генома, имеет покрытие всего лишь 7,5X.
