There's nothing super about Simon Simmons-except that he works for a superhero. 12-year-old Simon has been chosen to become the assistant to the Amazing Miraculous, the superhero for North America. Unfortunately, Simon has never paid much attention to the details of superheroes' lives, so he gets a crash course when he and his family move into the superhero's main lair. He soon finds out how many people are involved in a superhero's life: the inventor, the PR person, the trainer, the chef, and more! Simon's training is no picnic, though. He doesn't really want to be here-and discovers that the Amazing Miraculous doesn't seem to want him around either. Then, the Amazing Miraculous goes missing. With only two weeks of training under his belt and the help of a few friends, Simon has to find a way to save him. Min, the fourteen-year-old inventor for the Amazing Miraculous, and The Tower, the sidekick for the European superhero, join forces with Simon to launch a rescue. They battle against bad guys, the coldest weather imaginable, and an unexpected enemy and uncover a conspiracy that may change the world of superheroes forever. One thought continues to echo in Simon's mind: It just might be time to retire.
