Managing Local Government: Cases in Effectiveness: Enhancing the Governing Body's Effectiveness: Riding the Development Dragon is based on the challenges facing a newly hired public administrator in a primarily rural mountain community of 1,500 people called Rosedale. The project will pose its share of contentious land use, environmental, and construction management issues. This e-book highlights the difficulties in meeting the conflicting interests of the town population and the town board.
