My sermons have always been received well. The 'Corpus Christi' sermon won a prize in the Simeon Society Sermon Competition. My aged Aunt kept them all in a folder and said they had taught her so much and brought her great enjoyment. One young man came to Evensong only when I was preaching. He said I always had something interesting for him to learn. So the very old and the young find these sermons useful. I chose topics that were in the liturgical calendar and were not often taught about. And I tried to give listeners some 'homework' - something to take home with them to think about.
