Africa is victim of its leaders. Africans have the leaders they deserved. Most African countries would have fared a lot better if their presidents were not considered by those around them as demigods, ordained by God to rule for life, and if potential leaders did not tend to shy away in fear. This is the story of an African-Americanis tour in an African country. The story suggests that this country would have been a better place if only the big men of power and their accolades could shelve their greed and consider the welfare of their country first. The ardent desire to always defend the hand that feeds them has compelled these high government officials to completely stray off from democratic ideals and appropriate reasoning in all their public pronouncements and actions. But does it take the visit of an African-American for Africans to speak truth to power?
