Despite efforts in recent years there remains a strong link between the circumstances into which a child is born and their adult outcomes. Drawing on new and existing research, Reducing Inequalities looks at children's experiences, at home and in school, and explains the extent to which these factors affect their success as children and later as adults. Improving children's outcomes and tackling inequality requires contributions from many sectors: local government, the voluntary and community sector, the research community and national organisations concerned with children, young people and families.
