A Pink House tells the story of Jax Goodman, a ten-year-old hypochondriac who lives with his mother and recently deceased "Grammy" in Parma, Ohio. During the summer of 1963, Jax only has one goal: to befriend the cool kids on the cul-de-sac. However, when the gang takes their neighborhood games too far, Jax is forced to discover what it truly means to "be a man." Throughout this eventful summer, Jax must navigate his budding feelings for Mary Lynn, come to terms with his father moving out, try to get along with his hysterical mother, and find a way to fit in with the cool kids on the cul-de-sac. However, when Billy, the group's ring leader, takes Jax on a secret mission to stage a neighborhood war, Jax discovers that every white-picket fence hides it's own secrets, and that his new-found friends are not as perfect as they seem.
