Fictitious story about the "origins" of the human immunodeficiency virus - HIV - including science fiction - sci-fi - blended with scientific facts about the biology of the virus and the anatomy and functionality of the human immune system, and how, based on this scientific knowledge, the virus could have "plausibly" been "artificially bioengineered" by the U.S. government of the day way back at the beginning of the "Cold War" era - late 1950s through early '60s - as a potential "biological warfare weapon of mass destruction." In addition to this, the story encompasses other facts of a sociopolitical, socio-economic, as well as socio-anthropological nature presented in both historical as well as contemporary time frames against the backdrop of the central fictitious theme of the story as revealed by the main character in the book, who is known only as the American "activist" ... which mystery about the man's "true" identity is maintained throughout the book even as he finally shows up on Capitol Hill in the U.S. Capital City, Washington, D.C. (towards the end of the book) to tell his fascinating story to a special U.S. Congressional Committee (the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee), to the total dismay and disenchantment of the incumbent U.S. President, who considers the man's globally televised "testimony" regarding the "true origins" of the human immunodeficiency virus to be a treasonable offense and a threat to the "national security of the United States of America!"
