Over the last 20 years, memory clinics have evolved from an idea to an important part of many services for people with memory difficulties. With the higher profile of the dementias, and Alzheimer's disease in particular, they have finally come of age and those with dementia and their carers can start to receive the attention and resources they deserve. This short text is aimed at all health professionals who work in memory clinics, or are interested in learning about them. It covers all aspects of setting up and operating the clinics and encouraging professionals to providing even better clinics and improved services for patients.
