This review volume provides an up-to-date review of experimental methods and theoretical approaches in the study of dynamical processes in condensed molecular systems. The experimental contributions include hole burning in glasses and in proteins, optical dephasing in glasses, photo-conductivity in polymers, energy transfer among molecules in confining spaces and electron transfer in polar solvents. The theoretical part summarizes recent advances on hole burning, hierarchical aspects of relaxation and transport in disordered systems.Contents:Relaxation in Glasses and Proteins (J Friedrich & W Köhler)Dephasing of Optically Excited Impurities in Glasses at Low Temperatures (R Reineker et. al.)Biopolymers and Glasses (V Fleurov)Electronic Transport and Viscous Flow in Random Organic Systems (H Bässler)Dynamics of Tenuous Structures: Localized Character of Vibrational Excitations (O Entin et. al.)Photoconductivity in Polymers: Dispersive Versus Nondispersive Transport (D Haarer et. al.)Transport in Random Multiplicative Correlated Systems (S Havlin)Random Walk Theory of Photon Migration in a Turbin Medium (G H Weiss et. al.)Correlated Random Walks in Dynamically Disordered Systems (R Hilfer & R Orbach)A Hierarchical Approach to Anomalous Diffusion: Levy-Walks (A Blumen et. al.)Reaction Kinetics and Self-Ordering in Restricted Geometries: Exciton Fusion in Molecular Aggregates (R Kopelman et. al.)Time Resolved Studies of Optical Probes in Confining Spaces (J M Drake)The Role of Solvation Dynamics in Intramolecular Electron Transfer Processes (D Huppert)Vibrational Excitons in Disordered Molecular Crystals (J P Lemaistre et. al.)Readership: Condensed matter physicists and chemists.Key Features:A systematic exploration of the fundamental physics and industrial applications of complex self-organized colloid plasma systems, encompassing the physical insights of advanced theoretical models and the results of extensive computer simulationsProvides a detailed presentation of the basic well-established techniques and methodologies for analytical, numerical and experimental investigation of complex plasma systems
