From a helicopter skimming above the trees in the immense outback of Western Australia, Lizzie Spender looked out and saw wild horses galloping below. She fell in love with a chestnut colt with a crooked white blaze. She was told she could take it home, if she could find it, catch it and tain it - a virtually impossible quest.
