Lady Lydia of Poppinton Manor is old and eccentric, but she is never lonely. Lady Lydia's friends are very different - some of them could even fly! She shares her home with bats and mice and spiders, and all the animals round about are her friends too. Lady Lydia is very happy living with just her friends for company, but then she receives a surprise visit from her posh sister Maudie.
