Ebb and Flow is a collection of interesting and personal articles in date order about the author's life and family. Jenny Hayward married her childhood sweetheart in 1942 during her husband's embarkation leave before he departed to fight in World War Two. Their joy was very short-lived when only a few weeks later she was given the devastating news that Roland had been killed near Medjez-el-Bab. Jenny immersed herself in her nursing, hoping to lessen the pain by helping others. She was given a second chance at happiness when she met Paul, with whom she was to share many blissful years and this book gives an insight into their family life together. Her recollections are interspersed with photographs, illustrations and poems.
