Setting a text adapted from Proverbs 8 by Michael Hampel, Precentor of St Paul's Cathedral, that implores the listener to place their trust in a faithful God, Todd employsarching melodies and beautifully simple harmonies that are underpinned by a gentle organ accompaniment. With its peaceful simplicity and sparkling tranquillity, The Call of Wisdom would make an affecting addition to any service or concert. There is also a version for upper voices.
